Allegations of Sexual Assualt Against Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger

Police on Friday said that the agency is investigating the case of Ben Roethlisberger, quarterback of Pittsburgh Steelers, as Roethlisberger was accused of involving in an allegation of sexual assault ay Georgia nightclub.

The assault was said to occur early Friday morning in Milledgeville – 85 miles southeast of Atlanta. Ben Roethlisberger has a flat nearby.

According to Deputy Chief Richard Malone, Roethlisberger was seen at Georgia nightclub and he was alleged to be the assaulter. He said that the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and other three people were in another group including the suspected victim. The alleged woman and her group informed about the sexual attack of Ben to a nearby police officer.

After being interviewed and hospitalized, the woman was treated and discharged. Police also interview Ben Roethlisberger after being informed about the attack.

In 2008, Roethlisberger was taken to court by a woman named Andrea McNulty. The Reno woman sued him for his raping at a Lake Tahoe hotel. However, the quarterback did not admit the allegations and asked for counter-damages.

According to Frank Pendergrast, owner of The Brick restaurant near the crime scene, Roethlisberger was very polite with everybody. He told that Ben was around the bars from 11:30 to 1: 30 Thursday night. He talked friendly with every people.

He was drafted by the Steelers 11th overall in the 2004 NFL Draft. He played college football at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio).

Under the leadership of Roethlisberger, the Pittsburgh Steelers became the winner of NFL twice in 2006 and 2008 seasons.

After six seasons playing for the Steelers, Roethlisberger won many individual records in Steelers history.

He is also the founder of The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation – an organ which provides support for police and fire departments throughout the U.S. with a particular emphasis on service dogs and enhances the quality of life for residents of Findlay, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
